Is there any way on IIS server to trigger a script/executable after a file has been downloaded?

Basically I want to be able to delete a file after the user has downloaded it.. At the moment I scan through the logfiles every X minutes checking for the relevant file.. Just wondering if there was an easier/more efficient way of doing it..

Cheers

Create an asp page to do the download from, then when a button is clicked to trigger the download the script could then do whatever..

Does IIS support URL rewriting? if you can spot the pattern for the links to the files in the logs you could redirect them to an ASP script.
