NTL Broadband cable modem
#2
Hi djuk,
I have NTL Broadband 600k service. Connected via USB port. XP detected the modem, loaded the drivers and away. Bit of a problem recently though, downloads have slowed dramatically and only getting 120KB. Look for NTL Broadband Speed Test on the internet. Great utility which shows how fast your connection is.

We had ours installed a couple of weeks ago and that has both USB and RJ45. Connected over RJ45 (bought a router with 2 free nic cards on line so shoved one of the nics in), as eventually the router will be hooked up to the modem, with a connection for 3 pc's and one free for xbox live (i assuming I can do that!) On a seperate note - can you have a pc connected to the cable modem by RJ45 and plug another into it with USB or is it one or the other?
