Any free filter software for isa to stop .exe downloads?

we use websense to stop people accessing websites they are not allowed to visit. We also stop in policy's people downloading, and no-one has permission to this area.

however, some people will need to access a website and download, hence for that user group, policy's will allow them to download. however, I want to restrict it, so they can only download via this one website. This is all done via http download, no-one has permission to ftp download (this has been restriced in isa protocol).

So basically, after a addon for isa to stop .whatever attachments being downloaded, or to only allow say .doc to be downloaded.

Christian

Cant you do this with the Access Policy withing ISA itself?? Never done it but thinking about it it might be possible. Only problem is rather than the filter tools etc it'll be a bit of fiddling to get right.

It's customisable in Policies...

You can create a "content filter" of just .exe and allow it and apply it to users for a particular site.

More specifically, create a New Content Group (Policy Elements), a Destination Set & then a New Site & Content rule which incorporates all the pieces as desired.
