Question

I have one of these, question is if you touch/press the screen you can make quite pretty colours as my daughter has found out.
Will this damage the screen in any way, because I have noticed that on the start up screen the top left hand corner is a lot paler than the rest of the screen, but once on any other screen ie games menus or the internet there isn't any fading of colours at the top left hand side as on the start up screen.
So is there any damage????

Cheers Nige

Not advised but probably no lasting damage unless she's *really* had a good poke at it....

If it's the XP startup screen - mine does that too. I think it's a design thing. Nothing to be concerned about.

The XP start-up screen is supposed to look like that, Your screen is fine.

However, poking the screen hard certainly can damage it; a lot of the IBM Thinkpads in my old office had bright patches on their screens about the same size as fingerprints. The damage is irreversible.
