A good Broadband cable/dsl router will set you back approximately £40-50

For a router I used a Netgear RP114 that I ordered from Insight. I also had to buy 4 PCI network cards for each machine. You will need one internal network card and either, one PCMCIA network card OR one USB network card.

I also have (until 31st of this month) the NTL 600k servivce and bought the above router, plugged into the network cards in each machine and that was it. Simple. No software had to be installed, Windows just knew what to do (for a change )

On Broadbandbuyer they are currently selling the above router + 2 internal network cards for £59.00 + VAT.

Drop me an E-mail if you want more info.

Darren

I have the same broadband which I access via a base PC and a wireless router to my new laptop (thank you boss). Makes working from home whilst watching TV much more viable !
