Explorer is showing my treeview icons with grey around them:


Anyone know what causes this?

Have you changed any of the colours of the backgrounds recently?

Many a time. What video card have you got? My Matrox G450 does this fairly often.

Question

Is this to do with the icon cache?

If it is delete the windows\ShellIconCache hidden file.

Might not be though

Yep, never worked out why though.

I usually, just change colour depth from 32 bit down to 16 bit and then back again. This usually clears it up.
