it is a bit tricky, IGI1 AI was predictable to the point of not being AI, they have gone the other way with No2. Good game - as bruce forsythe would say.

mj-still on level 2

while I think on, when I have been playing and quit the game my PC restarts - any suggestions? could it be virtual memory (whatever that is ) or something like that? I remember with UT you could tweak the system.ini file to allocate more memory to the game, but there doesn't seem to be anything in IGI 2 to do this. P4 1.7/XP Pro/256 Mb RAM/radeon 8500 ( WHICH COST £250 ABOUT 12 MONTHS AGO AND IS NOW WORTH ABOUT ******* £3.99 }

any suggestions

EDITED COS I CAN'T EEK PROPERLEY
EDITED AGAIN COS I CAN'T : PROERLEY EITHER.

To be fair i played IGI on medium and hard levels to complete it and respected the game due to the complete bitch of the last level and no saves.

Now having played splinter cell i simply cannot bring myself to play it - its annoying to use the bino's instead of NVGs, its annoying you cannot do 'proper' moves like in splinter cell with the scenery, its annoying that the computer can hit you from 50yds with a reaction shot when you are prone. They fixed alot of stuff but forgot to put any kind of realism into the accuracy of the shooting on both sides....

the biggest blow to IGI2 is the lack of crosshairs for the binoculars for the old "bino trick"

IGI1 - use binos, move bino crosshairs and centre on enemy's chest/head 200+ yds away ( AK47, MP5,minigun etc). Toggle off binos , and as if by magic the gun crosshairs are POINTIG STRAIGHT AT THE ENEMY , ( although you cant see him ). Fire about 3-4 single shots without moving the mouse = one dead enemy soldier.

IGI2 - use binos, hang on, where's the feckin crosshair gone?

make's the game a bit trickier , and for my money a bit less enjoyable. There also seems to be a distinct lack of medikits in IGI2.

thats probly 8 seconds into the game

try:

shoot lock & camera with silenced pistol ( keep pistol equipped).

through door - see guard - pop a cork in his ***.

hide behind crate & change to mp5

kill other 2 guards- one on ground one on gantry.

through other door run along with fence on RH side.

go through gap in fence

continue along fence this time with fence on LH side.

go into small opening in containers, equip pistol, continue down container.

shoot camera on pylon head left and run round the back of the big mound of earth, keep mound on your right.

at end of mound, rise up and operate button under end of conveyor.

jump on conveyor and look to the right.

when in building shoot camera up on RH side.

jump off RH side of conveyor & move forward

there's a guard smoking a tab - pop a cork in his ***.

continue round to the right , there another guard - pop a cork in his *** too.

up cat ladder, at first landing run round and hit the switch.

up catladder to top landing, jump on conveyor and crouch down - reload pistol.

as you near the building you will see a camera- shoot with pistol

when inside jump off LH side of conveyor and move forward ( windows on your left )

you will see a guard - cork.***.pop.

move forward slowly and take out camera in top RH corner.

move over to door contoller and activate.

out of door head left and over to next building.

down ramp, keep left.

end of ramp, nudge round corner, lookup & shoot camera

equip mp5.

move forward and look right - 2 guards between trucks. Give em' the good news regarding corks n' asses. ( dont let these dudes raise the alarm - they have a load of buddys in a nearby room)

go back to fenced area below camera you just shot.

shoot lock off gate, go in and active lift switch.

run along LH side of lift ( in floor) hit switch on LH wall. the floor will start to open and the lift will rise.

hit switch on other side of lift when the lift has reached the top.

jump on lift.

job done, jones - this should take about 5 minutes.
