Hi all

I have a Liteon DVD drive, it drives me mad, noisy and spins up all the time and regularly fails to copy stuff properly - keep getting cyclic redundancy errors trying to copy a file about 600mb in size - very annoying as its a "Best motoring" mpg too!

So I either want a DVD drive on its own or a CDR/DVD drive(not DVD copier though).

So if someones got one thats **** hot please tell me! Cost is not an issue

Andy

ADP, the liteon is actually the best reviewed drive by many sites, sounds like yours is faulty - RMA it mate, the plextor isnt any better, you will spend more money just to get exact same drive (basically) which works right

Or for 116 (inc VAT) you can get a DVD+RW drive from Novatech http://www.novatech.co.uk/novatech/S...tml?NEC-ND10SP

Plextors are top notch. Mine's never missed a beat and it includes an onsite collection and back to base warranty.
