how can i connect my S-video output on graphics card to S-video input on tv?

basically i wanna watch films that i have downloaded etc on my 32" TV.Ive bought a S-video to S-video lead,but would like to know if theres anything i should do b4 hand i.e setup etc

If you are using a compatible Nvidia card then TVTool is extremely handy for activating the TV-Out functions

I would guess you would need a S-Video to S-Video lead

Ive got 3 leads.

S-Video means nothing to me.
Im unsure which i need. And the manual has no reference to any of these cables.

Come on Si, you know how to Google

S-Video lead will look like the hole you have on the back of your graphics card, which I guess will say "TV Out" and hopefully a corresponding hole on your TV. Do you have the manual for you graphics card and/or your TV ?

a) cant be arsed
b) Im not really that botherd

My tvs only a 14" 99% sure it doesnt have S-Video

I used to use an S-Video (or composite) lead from the graphics card into a scart connector. Then a 3.5mm jack from the soundcard into 2 phonos that also connect in the scart connector. Scart into the telly and bingo

Cool

I have got S video out on my laptop, I just plugged the s video port on my laptop to the s video port on my tv then FN F5 and bobs yer uncle I had the windows desktop on my tv then wopped a dvd in to the laptop and out put to the tv.
