Question

Morning all,

As you may be aware, computers are regarded by me as a neccesary evil, I get by with my piddly amount of knowledge and it is doubtful as to whether it has made me more effective at work or not

At the weekend, I bougt a Kyocera S3L Digital Camera Which is fine, however I think that the software that comes with the camera is buggered.
I tried to load by inserting disk, opening the disc via My computer and then clicking on the setup icon. This takes me into an installation wizard. All is well until about 20 secs into the process, I get a screen asking me if i wish to customise any of the programme elements. ( as if i know how to do that malarchy ) I have to go through this screen, it won't cancel and continue If i enter the screen, because it has not installed anything yet, there is nothing to customise so I have to cancel and then it tells me that Installation was not completed and that I am a techno retard

Are there any other ways of getting the software off of the disk?
Is it a driver that i'm trying to install you know like printer drivers?

Cheers techies

I guess the camera connects to the PC via USB??

Check the instructions that came with the camera. Some USB devices MUST have the software installed BEFORE connecting the device for the first time, others you have to connect first, install second. Use the wrong method and you're in for all kinds of problems getting the device to work

OK chap, give us a bell from 6pm onwards. Ring me on home phone number, will be cheaper given that we will be on the line for at least 2.5 hours
