Anyone else getting this irritating pop-up from pukka web-sites?
I have found it today both at the Dixons web-site and also at ITV.com.
It is activated by code on the web-page itself, so i don't have a virus or anything like that.
Why would someone like Dixons want to **** off potential customers???

Code:

What a small world (or rather, what a massive Scoobynet community )
It must be frustrating getting told by "suits" elsewhere in the organisation to do something without an explanation. I must admit, i can almost understand ITV.com doing it, because they are a commercial company and rely on sponsorship to exist in the first place. Still naff though
As for Dixons, what a silly move. [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img] I went to their web-site to investigate buying a new DECT phone, but if they are going to bombard my PC with crap then they have just lost my business.
Cheers for letting us know,

Scooby Regular
Also looks like something to do with Jini, a cowboy web outfit based down the road from me, ran by one of my dads ex carpet fitters. The guy is an absolute headcase. [img]images/smilies/mad.gif[/img]
