DVD Burners, any point?

Looking at the cost of media and of the drives, on a pound per GB there seems to be little cost difference in having a caddy mounted hard drive and a DVD Burner.
I reckon a hard disk is more useful.

yes m8 it is but seeing as i have all the originals of the movies i download i can legally make backups of the movies
i agree a projector is the way to go. i have one on loan atm and am seriously considering buying one. only one prob £2500. have to sell the scoob or send the wife out to work.....hmmmmm.....scooby, wife, scooby, wife.....bit of a no brainer, the wife will be starting her other new job soon i think
