Windows Explorer freezing? Help
#1
Whilst surfing I had a problem with something. All the fonts changed size and colours went strange. I had a pop up window telling me there waas ome problem with something in explorer and that I would need to re-install windows (ME).
I rebooted and things seemed fine, but odd things had been happening so I though I should re-install anyway.
But now whenever I look at explorer windows or My Computer the thing goes REALLY slow. OK to look at an individual drive with a shortcut, but not trying to open a view of all drives???
Any clues? Do I need to install again? Do a fresh install (rather not )

Thanks - always nice to get some feedback
1) Using Grisoft AVG - keep regular updates
2) keep Windows update active automatically
3) hopefully not a joke 'windows window' but problems were occuring before that event anyway.
4) I can't buy every new operating system MS produce, I've had Win 3.1, Win95, Win98SE, now WinME... Will it ever stop? - Every one they claim is now THE one to have
Thanks
Mick
