Do a search on google for pop up stoppers, there are loads od free ones.
Pop up stopper by panicware etc. I use the built in one with History kill which removes all internet history when exiting IE.

I'd also advise using Ad-Aware to get rid of any spyware and adware. You can download it from www.download.com
