An error was detected on device \Device\CdRom0 during a paging operation.

Shagged CDROM ???

Is it a CD-Writer ? Were you writing to it ? Are you reading a CDR ? Whats the OS ? Is DMA mode enabled ?

Come on, you know better than that

DMA mode enabled ? Probly is as 2k sets to Auto.

So go look Haven't got 2k, but it will be in the device settings. Chances are if you haven't touched it its enabled.

Installed W2K & SP3 & Office & stuff NP before. Fresh (tuesday) setup..

Managed to install Sage via the shared drive way NP

Also check the host adapter for it. If it allows you to set the "Enable disconnect" option, set it to "disable"
