An error was detected on device \Device\CdRom0 during a paging operation.

Shagged CDROM ???

DJ Dunk 20 February 2003 03:27 PM

You did what to the CDRom

No wonder it doesn't work ;)

DJ Dunk 20 February 2003 03:30 PM

Is it a CD-Writer ? Were you writing to it ? Are you reading a CDR ? Whats the OS ? Is DMA mode enabled ?

Come on, you know better than that ;)

DJ Dunk 20 February 2003 03:38 PM

So go look :D  Haven't got 2k, but it will be in the device settings. Chances are if you haven't touched it its enabled.

Puff The Magic Wagon! 20 February 2003 03:39 PM

So if it is?

DJ Dunk 20 February 2003 03:40 PM

If it is leave it. If not, switch it on.

Puff The Magic Wagon! 20 February 2003 03:41 PM

Installed W2K & SP3 & Office & stuff NP before. Fresh (tuesday) setup..

Managed to install Sage via the shared drive way NP

DJ Dunk 20 February 2003 03:42 PM

Also check the host adapter for it. If it allows you to set the "Enable disconnect" option, set it to "disable"

DJ Dunk 20 February 2003 03:43 PM

Failing that, I have no idea. Its one of those nice Microsoft features ;)
