Outlook Express->IE5 data

All of a sudden clicking on the hyperlink in an E-Mail Notification in Outlook Express has lost the capability to transfer the URL to IE5.5. I still get the IE5.5 opening in a new window - just no URL. Haven't installed new software and all setting (which in any case were unchanged) are i.a.w Microsoft Knowledge base. Any ideas, anyone??
