Thinking about buying a GeForce FX 256mb ram from the states...

Nope.
AGP is all 3.3v I think. Dunno about Warranty though.
Just watch the Taxman - He'll have a slice of the action if he see's it comming in so take that in to account when you decide if it's gonna be cheaper.

Why, why, why, why, why Christian?
The thing has been very badly recieved as you know. It is bloody noisy in standard form, cooks itself, is barely any quicker in some things than the 9700 pro and slower in quite a few things!
It is even very likely that Nvidia have frozen production on the card and are just allowing the few that have been made already to be sold on. Nobody knows for sure yet afaik.
IMO, gone in the head if you for out for one of those cards.
Don't be silly. If you simply 'must' have the latest and greatest, just wait until the end of next month when the Radeon R350 core is put on general release.
Sorry,
Nick.

LMAO, I hate being right all the time

You won't be getting a 256mb version anytime soon methinks, unless the Inquirer has got it wrong, but saying that, Nvidia have been very, very quite since 'releasing' this card, so bear that in mind.
