Hi Guys and Gals,

Have a Mate's Win98 Hard drive, need to clone this across to a new drive. I've tried Ghost, no joy, fails after about 45% with disk cache error. Is there another DOS based program I can use that will copy EVERYTHING from this old drive to the new one. I've tried xcopy and xcopy32 with the correct extensions, but loads of stuff gets omitted.

I've run chkdsk and scandisk on the old drive, and apart from it being REALLY slow (hence the upgrade) no errors can be found.

Thanks,

Darrell

What version of ghost is it?

If it's old you probably need to run ghost with a switch to flush the cache.

Do ghost /? to get the options
