Question

After a new mouse and had a look at a Logitech cordless effort on Saturday - MX700 or something, comes with a docking station etc. £60

Anyone used one, and are the Logitechs better than Microsoft.

Also, any lag etc on the cordless mice? I need it to be spot on down to 1 pixel.

TIA

I am interested in one of those.

Dabs are selling them for £40 ex vat.

Inc VAT and carriage would be £50.52.

i have just bought one. The mouse itself is excellent, but I am having trouble getting games to recognise the keys I have allocated to the extra buttons.

e.g, With previous mice, I always used the 3rd button on the side of the mouse as delete in most programmes, I then configured the game to see the delete as the "move forward command" whatever i do i cannot map any of the extra keys into the game control.

I have tried hitting the the correspnding key on the keyboard, and also messing with the game keyboard config files but with no joy.

any suggestions?

I have just bought one of these. Love it already. Shame it isn't a little larger. I have big hands and find smaller mice give me hand cramp.

Regards to the game problem download the latest Mouseware from Logitech.

will be interested to hear how you get on with it, i have the one before the mx without a docker and my only complaint is that sometimes it 'looses' the mouse when it and the cordless keyboard swap channels for no reason???!!!

also as my pc is on 24/7 im using a pack of batteries a week!

PT,

don't know if your referring to me or not, however I have the latest mouseware now and will try the mouse with games later today and let you know.

BTW mate , you remember that debenhams gift voucher I had of you?

just weighed it in this week for a microlight flight for my dad's birthday. In the end there was nothing in the booklet that I really wanted to do so I contacted them with a view to putting it toward a decent days racing, but they would not let me -cheeky barstewards.

Pete is correct when he talks about a delay/lag - BUT this is with the previous cordless mice Logitech do. They run at about 48Hz refresh on average and do suffer a log problem. Avoid those, BUT...

The MX700, which I have, is superb, refreshing at 130Hz. It nails the Microsoft Bluetooth mouse too, plus its rechargeable.

I dont get any lag as such on mine cordless desktop pro thing (keyboard and mouse) but after prolonged use normally in a game it suddenly looses the connection to the mouse and you cant get it back without rebooting and unplugging usb cables etc.

Pete, doesn't happen with this model and trust me, it will completely and utterly nail your mouse mate . BTW, the refresh rate is 125hz, but close enough

I am stuck at this geekfest LAN party this weekend (Over 1100 Players!) and combined with one of the new Everglide optical mouse pads, it is soooo nice. The everglide is so smooth that it compensates for the additional weight of the MX-700, making it feel far more lightweight and even more accurate

Hehe, our clan came second in the BF1942 tourney, going out to the LAN hosts who are the best clan in the country at our game and my new rig/me is being featured in PC Format magazine. Ooooh the gheyness of it all

Cheers,

Nick

well im not upgrading mine till they do the keyboard and mouse bundle, as mine is the cordless desktop pro so only comes with one receiver for keyboard and the mouse and seems a little silly to leave a rather nice cordless optical mouseman redundant just to cure two little faults that occur every now and then.

This is the cordless pack i have -
here

and some other peeps having probs here

Actually bought one a couple of weeks ago and its great, for both work and games.

My only gripe is that the wheel isn't as smooth as the Microsoft mouse, but I will get used to it.

The cruise control buttons are very cool

Ignore the penfold, that was merely our group feelings towards another clan member, so we added that just for him.

Awful photo, guess who I am? LOL

I just think its quite fitting i noticed the bar sign in the picture and worked out he would be as close to the bar as possible :O

P.S. I vote he looks most like a dodgy priest !
