for some reason my pc keeps on locking up for no reason.

i have a athlon xp 1800,512meg mem,,running on xp.

there are no error codes,it just freezes,especialy when copying cd's and on the net (broadband)and its getting anoying now!!

any ideaswould be greatly appreciated,

If the screen goes to like a "freeze frame", then the first thing I would check would be the fan on the processor, as it may be the the processor overheating.

check you have the latest BIOS on your motherboard, although older, my Athlon 800 equipped ASUS mainboard needed an update to stop it crashing with XP/2000
