Excel Pivot table Question

Aye up,
Does any one know if it is possible to create a pivot table from source data on two or more worksheets in the same document?
I have tried the consolidate function (but it groups them together), holding down shift when selecting the source data (it comes up with an error cannot open source file, or something like that.
Have done some searching but could not find out if this is possible or not???????
