Hi,

Only have a 800Mhz PIII with 128 RAMBUS Ram.

I have been running Windows XP pro for a while with no mishaps (upgraded from ME).

I want to do a refesh install but i have an option of operating systems.

So do I

a) Windows 95
b) Windows 98se
c) Windows ME (home ed)
d) Windows XP Pro (on a fresh install).

I take it that with a fresh install of XP, it will be even more stable etc.

Out of that list I would install XP Professional.

Ideally I would install some more memory, but thats just me.

You might find that Windows 2000 Professional runs quicker on the PC, just to throw that into the mix.

I have those discs at home you see, from the first & second computers, plus upgrades etc.

I know what you mean about the memory though.

go for win xp pro and 256Mb RAM it will be dandy..
