cordless modem?

Hi all,
need help.
sister does not have adsl, only a 56k modem. She is about to get her first pc for home internet access but she doesnt have a phone point in the room it is going into.
Am sure there are devices which can transmit to a modem or a phone via receiver. does anyone know if these exist.
basically dont want to have to get another socket installed as it will mess up her hallway with wires etc. am wondering if this might work as another solution.
certain I have heard of them, but I dont know how much they are, where they go or what they look like/cost.
any ideas?

Hi,
I bought the BT 1800 DECT phone, has a seperate USB DECT modem.
I use it on my laptop and upstairs computer without any problems.
Just unplug and move.
Hated having extra boxes and cables all round the place.
