I have a Sony Wega 32" 100hz TV which supports NTSC/PAL and has 3 scart sockets, 1 of which is RGB enabled.
I bought a "Advanced Scart Cable" which is RGB capable.
When I connected it to my Xbox this evening I get a green screen?
Every game has a green tinge but only when connected to the RGB scart, when I connected it to the other sockets I get a normal picture but just not RGB quality.
Any ideas why the green screen?
Thanks

Couple of Sony TVs I've had have AV1 and AV2 SCART sockets on the back with AV1 being the RGB capable one.
However, when you switched on a source on AV1 the TV automatically switches to AV1 (like you would expect). But to get RGB you need to switch again via the remote.
I.e. my current remote switches in a loop:
AV1 > RGB > AV2 > AV3 (Front Panel) etc.
Of course, this may be nothing to do with your problem.
Cheers

Ians solution sounds about right.
I've got a Sony Wega and the official advanced scart cable and it works fine. Mind you, I think I'm connected to AV2, think I'll give it a go in the other socket to see if it is clearer Thanks

I recently bought the 36" Wega, after reading this I'm going to try this out tonight, but for PS2/GC.
Can anyone confirm whether or not the 2 of 4 scart sockets on the back of the 36" are RGB?
Cheers, Alex

Mines a (tiny in comparison) 28" wega. It has 2 sockets and this one RGB and one not socket has rung bells. Will have a lookie at lunchtime.
