Question

I wasn't impressed with the XBOX driving games, so have just bought a PS2 and am now looking at buying a wheel for it.

Any recommendations ?? The logitech seems like the best bet, but anyone got any other opinions ??

Also, anyone know of anywhere good to buy them online ??

Dave

Cool

This was done not so long ago and the unanimous result was Logitech.

I have a Logitech Driving-Force wheel and it rocks - totally brilliant for WRC2 but not so good at GT3 IMO.

Cool

Yep - it's the Logitech driving force.

What you ideally want is somewhere secure to mount it - makes it much easier to use !

My kids & I have a pretty good setup -

Why don't you think the XBOX driving games are any good, because I'm thinking of buying one to play Sega GT on?

Why don't you think the Logitech wheel isn't very good for GT3?

IMO the Logitech suits the PS2 best. After wasting my money on a cheap Thrustmaster wheel I got a Logitech to play with GT3, mainly because this was the only wheel the game supported and has a calibration routine for. I also use it with VR3 and F355 and IMO it suits these games well.
I found with the Thrustmaster there was a big deadband around the centre zone of the steering and as a result ended up weaving down the straights.

So wheres the cheapest place to buy one then, and which one - driving force, of the GT version (I know they are esentially the same though).

Amazon have it in with free delivery, and free Toca Race Driver. I already have that game though - Anyone fancy chipping in £30 and bagging themselves Toca Race Driver?

When I bought mine at Christmas HMV had the wheel only on offer at £59.95, don't know whether that offer is still running though.
