Flash not working on mac.

Macromedia flash seems to of vanished of my mac. Running OS 9.1 with internet explorer 5. Tried downloading from their site but will not install. Should I try reinstalling internet explorer over the top (think there is a new version out 5.1 or something)would this contain the flash plug in?

Just in case you got the wrong plugin - Macromedia offer 2 plugins...
One works with sites developed with Macromedia Director (Shockwave Plugin)
The other is the flash plugin for flash sites.

Mark...can you view flash movies?, if it were me i would try and re-install IE over the top. Or better still go to www.apple.com then navigate to download Safari which is Apples latest Web Browser...supposedly 10 times faster than IE. I have it and it is definately quicker, once installed try and use the flash sites then!

Wouldn't work too well with OSX. Running OS 9.1 on a 4 year old iMac 266mhz!
But does fine for the net.
Tried downloading a newer version of IE but still no good!
Any other ideas?
