Satelite 4010CDT... (P266)...
Having a 'mare installing windows 2000 on this
Can it be done ?

Constantly freezing.......
Feel like throwing the computer out of the window !

Any advice...

Where is it freezing - during setup or once the OS has been installed?

A quick search of the 'net prooves others have done it.

is it essential to run w2k on the tosh given it's only a P266? if you still wanna run w2k, check on tosh website for any BIOS update and make sure you use w2k drivers for the tosh (if any).

......it freezes anywhere and everywhere !
Completely erratic and without warning......
8 hours installation lost......

check the BIOS! check the BIOS! update the BIOS if it's not the latest!

Suba - I've got the latest BIOS - but its a bit like chicken or egg ..... and once W98SE is installed it will get the bl00dy BIOS ramned down its throat.....
