Canon BJS800 printing problems
#1
when printing photos on the highest quality setting the pictures are coming out over saturated, almost like a negative. the colour is ok on normal setting but the quality isn't good enough. I called canon and they said it sounds like it needs a new print head but it's £70-100 and I don't know if that's definitely the problem. it's costing me a fortune in ink and paper trying to work out what's wrong with it.
any ideas .....

Not got one of these, but I'd check:
1) Check the paper is suitable for photo printing;
2) Run the printhead cleaning procedure;
3) Run the printhead alignment procedure.

cheers but tried that (using top quality canon paper), even downloaded new print drivers from canon.
thing is it was printing ok one day then the next printing rubbish on exactly the same setting

yeah, every conceivable option.
I've lost count of how many ink tanks (takes 6 at about £8 each) and paper (canon photo about £1 a sheet) I've got through, I could have probably bought a new printer with the amount I spent but it cost me £350 so where do you draw the line...
