Question

After much mucking about, I've bought:

P4 2.4Ghz (533Hz) Processor
ASUS motherboard
512Mb PC2700 RAM
120Gb (8Mb cache) HDD
IDE DVD ROM
128Mb AGP (x8) 4200 Graphics Card
400W Power Supply with variable fan speed
Round IDE & FDD Cables

All for just over £600 from Scan (who were cheaper than Komplett ) and I get 10 months interest free as well!!

Anyway I was going to use an old midi ATX case, IDE CD-RW, FDD and a spare 20GB HDD.

I'm currently in tow minds whether to use the case or not.

What options do I have for a midi sized case for less than say £60 with no PSU??

I don't want a full size case or a desktop case!

Cheers
Andy

Or not spend completely sily money on a case.

Look at komplett. They have a alu case for just under £80 methinks, that is a complete clone of the new globalwin case selling at well above £120 I seem to remember.

Cheers,

Nick.

Thumbs up

Cheers guys!

Call me picky, but I just don't like the look of most of the aluminium cases!

Trying to get a price for a clear case from the States! Just need to look into shipping as they are $99 out there.

Akasa Clear Acrylic ATX Case (CA-001-AK)
The exciting new product is built from high quality 100% clear thick acrylic parts providing endless oportunities for creating a visually unique case. It has excellent cooling potential with no less than 5 x 80mm fan holes - 1 inlet at the front of the case, 1 exhaust at the rear of case, 1 exhaust at top of the case and 2 inlets at the side for AGP and PCI devices. An ideal fan choice for maximum visual impact would be the Akasa LED Range. We would strongly recommend using an 80mm Fan Grill for the rear outlet, but not for the remaining 4 which have grill shapes cut into the acrylic. The case is capable of accepting any universal ATX power supply and has a generous drive capacity :-

- 4 x external 5.25" bays
- 2 x external 3.5" bays
- 4 x internal 3.5" bays

In order to make this case as reasonably priced as possible it is supplied flat packed complete with full instructions and fitting kit. No glue or special tools are required and you even get a pair of cotton gloves to ensure your case remains fingerprint free during construction.

For maximum impact add a Cold Cathode Light Kit and Neon String Rounded Ultra ATA Cables.

Price: £112.50 (£132.19 Including VAT at 17.5%)
