I'm currently running the NAVMAN 3000 software on the IPAQ. I'm now considering the Smart St Pro version included with the NAVMAN 3400 kit - the software alone costs £139 - is it worth it? Anyone use it?

I'm not sure if its coded to the GPS receiver or not.

The software is quite a bit different, adding voice yes but also dynamically recalculating routes should you change from the original one - also only one map so no switching between city and street maps as per the original version.

Should be a big improvement but the 130 quid is putting me off a bit as well.

Thumbs up

I have been using the software since it was released.

A great improvement over the SmartPath software supplied with the original GPS3000.

Downside: Now that they include the maps for Europe, you really do need a large memory CF Card, or better still an IBM Microdrive.

How about a group buy on one copy ;-)

Any takers, or would someone let me have a "preview" copy so I can check it out first - obviously several beers would be available for such a service!

I use it all the time but does have the habit of sending you down anyone B road it can find if it's a shorter route. Absolutely fantastic when driving in a town you have never been to before. Would like to able to input post codes and calculate a route without a GPS fix which are the only major downsides. Also good for showing your real speed.
