Looking to buy a cheapish camera. Used for mainly stills and some pics of track days. Looking at the Minolta Dimage Xi. Does anyone have one and can give me feedback. The spec looks good at 3.2mp, decent shutter speed, with a decent zoom 3x optical and 4x digital.

A friend has the Dimage X, and the only thing that I didn't like about it (other than the looks) was a relatively high amount of chromatic aberations, also known as purple fringing, on areas of extreme contrast.
Try it, see if you like it, you really can't go far wrong with it as the image quality out of the Xi is supposed to be quite a bit better. I think Steves Digicams had a review of it?
Cheers,
Nick.
