my book says "You can download and execute a population script called CreateAndLoadNorthwindBulk.sql"
maybe I'm not very good at this searching lark, but has anyone ever found this SP?
(This is from a WROX book, btw)

Fosters,
If you have SQL2000 installed look in the install directory of the instance you are using and there is a file called instnwnd.sql
This will create and populate the northwind db for you
