Carl,
Well you can download karaoke midi files (.kar) files pretty easily although like midi files the quality varies greatly, do a search on this and Im pretty sure you can convert them to CD+G format.
cheers

Dartpro Karaoke Studio is quite good, but it can take a while to get the tracks done. Its quicker once you are used to it.

Just got one "for the children".
Someone told me you can get some software that you can use to produce your own CD-G. Anyone know of this or had any experience.
Are there any sites for downloading free tracks in the CD-G format?
Are the tracks royalty free as they say in the style of the artist?

lol, got one of these 'for the girlfriend' for christmas.
I don't know about the software mentioned above by dave but I have some decent links to shops that sell the cds, and I think they can make up cds with your choice of tracks using Pro-Burn. Not sure if that is an expensive 'professional' piece of kit or what but may be worth doing a search for.
If you want the links to the websites for the shops give me a shout - I used two of them and they delivered very promptly at short notice just before christmas.
