Question

Confused by the number of differing formats on offer.

Any help would be appreciated on choosing a writer for my PC.

I would like to be able to 'backup' my DVD collection so that i can take my films with me when i'm working away from home.

Thanks.

Mark

Thumbs up

I'll second that.

Pioneer 105-r

More expensive burner but much cheaper blank media

You wont easily backup your dvds.

Dvd-r holds 4.7GB and dvd is normally around the 7GB region.

Copying DVD9 to DVD5 is very simple

All you need are a few little applications off the net and a bit of spare time and patience

I have 'backed up' around 50 or so Dual-Layer DVD9's to single layer DVDR including menu's, special features etc and they work fine.
