1 Question, is there a key on the keyboard that will bring the desk top up?

Eg you are working and don't want to min what you are working on, but you want to see the desk top icons..

On windows 98/2000/XP i think the key that you are after is Windows Key + D, press once for desktop and once again to go back to what you were doing

If you have a version of Windows which has the Quick Launch toolbar next to the Start Menu, you can do it.

Right click the Show Desktop Icon and choose copy

Right click on the Desktop and choose Paste Shortcut

Right click the new icon created and choose Properties.

On the Shortcut tab you can assign a Hotkey - I've just tried F11 and it worked for me.

yes, but it wouldn't be scoobynet without the most accurate and all encompassing solutions to what appear to be small problems!
