Problems running Spearhear

I'm having problems starting Spearhead, it crashes out to the desktop after displaying the splash screen. MOHAA still works fine.
Done all the usual latest driver stuff and tried it on the same PC with XP, but get the same result. Also tried disabling the hardware acceleration and reducing the resolution to 640x480 256 colours.
Might try a mates copy incase the installation CD is corrupt.
System is:
Shuttle SS51G
P4 5.3
Radeon 9700
512mb
W2K SP3 plus all latest MS patches
Any thoughts?

Mine did, all I did was update dirext x and re install graphics drivers and it works fine apart from the snow level on multiplayer which is jerky as duck

i had the same prob an i done the same as sam an mine works fine
but started aving probs with civ 3 now lol.
