Quick question for you Jack on DAT Updates.
How come the update.ini file for running your own update server isn't bundled into the main DAT package?
It's only 1KB. Fair enough, grabbing the two files off the web page isn't the end of the world (we use an FTP script at most sites to achieve this) but just tidies things up a bit and doesn't affect the size of the DAT package.

VirusScan and I believe NetShield look for update.ini *before* pulling the DAT files hence the reason it's sat on it's own. I'm in Aylesbury tomorrow and will ask if we can drop the file into the DAT package as well. But, my guess is that the process for producing DAT files is far removed from the editing of update.ini and changing the process could be tricky.
