Can anybody recommend a reasonably priced storage solution for digital camera data? I want to be able to download photos to a portable device without having to go via a PC/laptop, in order to free up memory on the multimedia card.

Is this possible?

Yes, but the camera only takes multimedia cards or Secure Digital...so back to the drawing board.
