Probably a very dumb question...

I'm looking at getting a broadband ISP service installed at home, which apparently means PC connection 24hrs a day. However, I use a laptop which moves between my home and office, hence de-connection on a daily basis, will this screw up the broadband service??

Any advice would be appreciated.

Cheers,
David.

It may cause hiccups depending on your OS, and the way the network is configured in your office.
But without knowing a bit more, it's hard to say.

Cool

I have the NTL broadband service at home, and use my laptop here and at work. I just have it configured to automatically get an ip address from the server, so when I plug it in at home it gets the address from ntl, and when I plug in at work it gets the address from works server. This is running XP though. Not sure how successful you'll be if you're running win98 or the like...

Thanks for the help guys, I'm running on Windows XP and using AOL as my ISP, so it appears I should be ok.

Cheers,
David.
