Cool

Anybody have a postcode database of the country with grid references?

Just need

Postcode
Longitude
Latitude

It doesn't have to be 100% complete (95% will do ) & it doesn't have to be bang up to date - a couple of years old will be fine.

Putting together a demo & 100% accuracy isn't part of it, just to prove that it works sort of thing.

When it's proved as working, then we'll go and get QAS/AFD etc but until then...

PTMW, depending on the accuracy required AFD do have demo databases, unfortunately I think for the grid references you have to have their Names and Numbers setup, so the demo data is the Isle of Sodor. Hardly ideal, but it would give you something to work with, IIRC postcode plus uses part of Birmingham but I'm not sure it has the grid references.
If you do this be prepared to be amazed at the number of people in it called Drury, it is astonishing
It is easily possible to export all the data to a different database, but I suspect they may frown upon this being done

Another possibility is if you phone them and explain your situation, they may be willing to provide you with a temporary license code.

Go round your local area with a GPS and one of those books from the post office that lists postcodes?

Robertio

Demos had crossed my mind but was looking for 95% UK just in case - want to be able to say "Pick-a-postcode" with reasonable assumption of success Will go down the asking route...

Cool

you could try the Royal Mail website, I found info about my mate on there when I needed to find out his address and postcode.

Might not be what you want but it's a thought.
