Angry

Had a bit of a problem today, just got a new machine at work with Win 2000 server installed. Changed the Administrator Password to a new one and restarted the system after adding a new guest also.

Now the damn thing won't recognise the password.

I really need to be able to log in as admin again to install some new software but I just can't.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

Please help

Ok, this is gonna sound dumb, but you do know that the password is case-sensitive on NT/2000?

I have a Linux Password cracker disk for NT/2000.

We use it work. Drop me a mail and I zip it and send it to u.

The disk is a bootable Windows disk and it will load the files and u specify the location of the files and change ur p/w

Try this

I ahve used it on more than one occasion, but I take no responsibility if it all goes wrong.

you do realise that as long as the server is still on the network & not stand alone you can use "user mangler" & point it to that machine & change the password that way....

I do also have software that will do NT/2000 & XP passwords in GUI mode, but it's on a cd, or 4 floppies, so your probably better off just using the linux cracker, but the linux one doesn't work on a syskeyed machine, so be careful.
