Lets hope someone can help...
I've got a 40000 thesis on word 2000 and I have a mixture of portrait and landscape pages throughout the document. I have also got page numbering.
Problem - there are 4 blank pages which are hidden - you can only see them on print preview - not in the actual document. They have been created when I setup individual pages to portrait and for life of me I cant seem to delete them ! - whats more its sh*gged the numbering so I'll get page 67, then 69 (68 being the hidden page)... and then I'll have some pages that dont even get a page number in the footer......??
Can anyone help - its worth a serious beer.....
Cheers,
Gastro

Sounds to me like a picture or something that is fractionally bigger that the page that you are pasting it into, if this happens word will try and help by automatically creating spill-ovr pages that may contain nothing more than useless border, the internal print processor will then decide that they are blank an dis number and hide them, if you try and reduce the size of the inserts on the preceding and following pages then you should find that the problem either reduces enough to be cured by removing the numbered page or goes away completely

Try switching on formatting codes - (music type button on standard tool bar). Have document in print layout view.
Slowly scroll down and see if you can see what is causing the problem.

If it is just a stop-gap solution you want, then it should be possible to start the page numbering off again at the right value.
Have a look at Insert->Page Numbers and then click on the Format button and you will see what I mean.

Indeed - 4 hours later - and I seem tohave sorted it.
I think one or 2 of the images were too large - I've also just binned the idea of putting one of the tables on a landscape page & it seems to work !
Thanks for your help.
