Question

Guys,

Just put this machine together as a cheap server. Unfortunately it
won't power up and I'm at a loss as to understanding why.

It sometimes gets as far as showing the AWARD BIOS screen, but usually
seems to crash before that. I can't use the reset button - only
switching the PSU off and on recycles it.

My first thought was that the FSB jumper might be set wrongly, but it
was correctly set to 100MHz. It had two memory modules installed, and
I tried only one of them in turn but to no avail. I removed all of
the peripheral cards except the graphics card with similar results.
Removing the graphics card triggered the m/board 'no graphics' card
alarm.

HELP!

I have had lots of those boards blow the capacitors at work. Check to see if the capacitors are bulging at the top or have blown.
