Anyone else having problems accessing the net using ntlworld?.(56k'er)

I've had to install an AOL free trial disc to get online.I intend to cancel it after the one month trial....is this easy,i've heard it can be a pain.....

 

i have a problem connecting to ntl, i get a gbdash error message (don't know if its ntl or my computer), also ntl keeps disconnecting me after i've been on a while

i had aol a couple of years ago, got a 3 month trial which was ok but cancelling was a pain. As they had my credit card details they kept taking monthly charges even when i cancelled

 

Im using 512k board band, im for ever disabing the lan, turning the modem on/off.

its pissing me off, its keeps losing the carrier signal

According to the ntlworld helpline...0800 052 4315..there ARE problems..Its been off for about 36 hours now.

Must admit,not too keen on AOL.Think i'll write to them now to cancel....
