OK - Kids have been behind the telly & pulled out all the wires that they could lay their hands on. Wires are fine but I have no idea where they all go !

Set-up is a TV with Video, an NTL box under the telly (with 2 leads going in/out) & a wall mounted NTL point with 2 leads going in/out.

Here is what I think - this makes the NTL channels fine on the telly but mucks up the video (if you watch a video & turn channels over - then go back to video you lose picture & have to stop & re-start tape)

1 lead going from NTL wall box into NTL box under telly
1 lead going from NTL Box under telly into the back of the telly
Scart lead going from telly to video

There is a wire that goes from NTL box on wall to no-where....where should this go ?
There are a couple of other cables that I have no clue as to where they go !

If anyone knows the set-up for a standard Cable/Telly/Video combo PLEASE help !

Ok try this

Scart lead from TV to Video.
co-ax lead from NTL box to video
aerial out lead from video to TV

Other options you may have
Scart lead from NTL Box to TV

Let me know about the other cables

 

NTL box on wall into NTL box, under the TV with an aerial cable.

NTL box under the TV into the VCR with an aerial cable.

VCR to TV with an aerial cable.

VCR to TV with the scart lead.

Not sure why you would have a second cable from the NTL box on the wall, but the above combo will work.
