Question

Im running Windows 2000 pro with XP Office pro
HP Scanner (2 yrs old)
HP DJ3822 Printer (1 month old)

When my girlfriend is scanning her photo's and then sends to print the computer freezes up and on one ocassion the entire contents of the printer folder had been uninstalled, printer works fine on its own its only when used in conjunction with the scanner it all starts misbehaving, is there anything I can do to stop this from happening?? Update drivers for the scanner?? Or is it just one of those thing we have to live with??

Cheers

Dave

Funki, i dont know if this will help; have a look.

When you scan pics, it caches a lot of info on your system.
It may be possible your pagefile, is full to the brim.
The pagefile is stored on your hard drive (usually in c:\)
Also, this may lead to a shortage of disk space.
From the symptoms, this may be the problem.
check hard drive space & pagefile size.
