Jods, if you cant change your cookies, are you sure you can get to regedit ??

an easier way (sort of) i think, is it a particular site you cant get to ??? if so post it, you can import and export cookies, so if its a couple of sites, i could bop them up and then export cookies and mail you the text file to import. !! thats if its any use. Havent found the reg setting yet, if there is one.

Anyone know how to tweak registry settings to allow changes to be made to internet options / security ?

Need to change settings to enable cookies

Cheers,

Security options are greyed out but regedit is available.
Thanks for idea on exporting cookies - try that now !

You don't say which version of Windoze you are running but...

Who's stopping you from changing the settings? Your friendly LAN administrator?

Try renaming (or running) the file Inetcpl.cpl in the windows\system folder and see if that works for you. Often renaming it will work

Also, download x-setup from www.xteq.com which allows you to do a LOT of fine tuning of Windows settings without having to hack the registry.

basically the following key should be set:-

[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Internet Settings]
"AllowCookies"=dword:00000001
