How to curve edges of an image

How do you take a rectangular picture and round off the corners?? I have Photoshop 6 and Fireworks MX.

In Fireworks, when clicking to drag out the rectangle, use the up and down arrows to round the corners off

If it is an actual image you want to round off, then just place the rectangle as above over the image, then carefully erase the corners of the image using the rectangle as a template.
