keeps bringing up application error - then want to send an error message to microsoft
reinstalled it - different versions - different codex - still nowt

when i check for updates - does'nt show any
was working till i put new codex package on - from microsoft :

I encountered the same fast forward problem.
I found dbl-clicking to put it in full screen mode allowed you to fast forward, but not while it was in window mode.
I seriously hope there's a lot of issues fixed in the next beta that goes out, I've started using cheap 3rd party viewers like GDivx that views practically anyfile type.

Have you installed the NIMO Codec pack?
I found after installing this, my copy of WMP9 wouldn't work at all (would crash and report to M$ whenever I tried to open anything). I removed NIMO (by using XP's restore), and it worked fine! I then reinstalled NIMO, but removed all M$ codecs from the Custom list. Sorted! Stable as any other M$ product now!
